Sarabhai, who founded the company with her husband, two decades ago, leads the design team. To her designing has come naturally. Her sense of pattern and color is both innovative and yet a part of the tradition and culture. She is interested in interpreting the traditional skills into meaningful contemporary designs. Being a nature lover and a photographer, often a pattern of a small insect or the texture of a leaf motivates her in her new creations. She realizes the importance of interpreting her designs to create a fresh range that would work with the international market. One of her new interests is in designing handcrafted gold and silver jewelry. She would be launching this range in the near future. |
